What Information do I need to
locate and why?
|
How and where will I locate
this research?
|
Article 1- ‘Sleeping Beauty’
For this article I need to deeply re-search into sleeping patterns
and how to prepare for a good nights sleep.
Re-search sleeping patterns and what age groups tend to have the best nights sleep.
·
Re-search how to prepare for a good nights
sleep
·
Re-search helpful tools (Lavender) that gives
you a good nights sleep
·
Perhaps re-search a real life story of someone
who once thought sleep was a burden but now thinks its heaven. Then write
about how he came over his sleep problems.
|
This re-search will be located from places like the library. I think
I can find lots of good information about sleep and sleeping patterns from my
local library, they will have full books on the information.
The best place will be to find things on the internet. Here I will
find quotes, pictures and genuine information. The best website to look might
be the NHS website, this is legit and the most accurate information.
It will also be helpful to do some primary re-search on this section.
This will give me a better insight into the topic I’m studying. Also so raw
stats will make the audience feel like I’m more focused on giving them the
best information possible.
|
Article 2- ‘Fashion’
For this article I want to move fashion away from the conventional
layout you see in every magazine. Therefor lots of re-search will need to be
done in order for my magazine layout to look quirky.
·
I want to find unusual UK fashion designers
and producers and use their work
·
I need to re-search a good theme to have for
my magazine.
·
I need to re-search un conventional models
(Quirky, none stereotypical)
|
For the fashion article, I work in a shop that promotes independent
designers, hence where I got the idea. So this is going to be quite easy to
locate dresses and brand names. Also because I’m in control on the shops
twitter/Facebook page I shall e-mail designers and ask them to write a few
lines on how they feel about independent designers, benefitting my magazine.
For a theme I could look at other magazines and see how they approach
the situation. Also I would need to look at the dresses in the shop and see
what the colours and patterns link to.
|
Article 3 – ‘Fitness’
Again I don’t want this article to be conventional. Therefor I will
need to find something that changes my fitness article from any other fitness
article in women’s lifestyle magazines.
·
I need to re-search different fitness patterns
and regimes.
·
I need to find out what exercise is best for
women
·
I need to re-search a routine that can be done
daily.
|
For this I will need to speak to a local gym instructor and see if
they can help me. They will be able to show me in person the positions
helping me explain them to my model when it comes to the photo shoot.
I could also Google useful exercise, and locate what part of the body
a woman hates most.
For a daily routine I will need to plan one myself and test it on
myself and a group of other girls to see if it works. It wont fit everyone
but the data I get from this experiment can go in my magazine showing useful
information for my readers.
